Media designer – a profession that never sleeps. The digital world is changing extremely quickly, and with it the profession and the printing industry. To ensure that we can offer our young talent ideal training at LSD, we accepted the invitation of the Verband Druck + Medien Nord-West e. V. and were able to exchange ideas with the association, teachers and other companies at the vocational school teachers’ information day. The aim was to improve cooperation and strengthen a modern and contemporary training profession. The online aptitude test was just one example to simplify processes. Topics were also promotion opportunities and adjusted training remuneration. In addition, trends such as augmented reality and virtual reality played a major role. Only time will tell whether these technologies will soon be part of the curriculum or whether their use will enable trainees to learn even better.
