Wow – what an event!

We’re still completely blown away by the positive response to our anniversary celebrations. 60 years of LSD – that had to be celebrated. Instead of a traditional conference program, we opted for an inspiring mix of exciting educational presentations, interactive tech experiences, insights into our production process, great food, a fantastic atmosphere and, of course, a legendary evening program.

Inspiration, exchange, and plenty of future topics

From AI to brand communication to digital product passport – with wit, expertise, and passion our speakers showed the opportunities that lie in transformation and innovation.

We were particularly thrilled by the strong interest in our “Mission Packaging”, the LSD production tour: many guests described the journey of packaging through our company – from creation to artwork & prepress, printing, and packaging technology – as a real highlight. And folding the giveaway packaging by hand even inspired many guests to take on little challenges.

AI at the start: our own intro film

Since our event focused on artificial intelligence, we wanted to not only talk about it, but also make a statement ourselves. For DESIGN MEETS INDUSTRY, we created a short introductory film using AI.

It’s a powerful statement showing that we’re boldly moving ahead in this forward-looking field, offering not just concepts, but also our hands-on experience.

The first customer case study on the Digital Product Passport

Another focus was on the Digital Product Passport (DPP) in tandem with augmented reality (AR). In a first case study, we demonstrated how packaging can serve as so much more than just a cover – it can also bridge the gap between brand and consumers.

Intensive discussions on this topic revealed enormous potential here and a great need for information.

Our interactive survey: What consumers want

We conducted a live survey via Mentimeter and asked our guests:
What additional information would consumers want to access via QR code?

The top 5 answers:

  1. Application tips
  2. Sustainability data
  3. Product story
  4. Couponing
  5. Competitions

The numbers speak for themselves:

  • 32.43% of guests have heard about the Digital Product Passport for the first time.
  • 29.7% are familiar with the DPP but haven’t taken any action yet.

These results show that the journey is just beginning.

Conclusion: Nothing changes if nothing changes

Our anniversary event wasn’t just a review of 60 years of LSD; it was, above all, a look to the future.

The energy, inspiration, and many valuable connections proved the importance of personal networking, technological curiosity, and creative partnerships, particularly in our industry.

We would like to say THANK YOU to all our guests, speakers, partners, and of course, to our fantastic team.

We’ll carry this energy on with us and we look forward to continuing to explore and shape these topics with you in the coming weeks and months.

Here’s to the next 60 years of innovation, creativity, and collaboration!
